Job Description

Opportunity:  The City of Albany’s Civil Works Team Team is looking for an experienced, safe, and qualified individual to take up the role of Civil Worker. The role is available from level 5 to 6 dependent on your level of skills, experience, and qualifications.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Civil, this role will see you responsible for safely and responsibly operating plant and equipment and undertaking manual tasks. The Civil Works Team perform a wide range of tasks including road construction and maintenance, drainage, concrete works, signage, road sweeping, fencing and general maintenance.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You: Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, basic oral, written and numeracy skills along with physical fitness capable of undertaking manual labor are essential. Previous experience as a machine operator (skidsteer, roller, loader, excavator) with associated tickets, and experience working within a civil construction team is required for levels 5 and above.
