Salary range:   $87,465.25 - $93,043.71 per annum dependent on skills, qualifications and experience.

Job Description

Opportunity: The City of Albany’s Engineering Team is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to take up the role of Technical Officer Building.

Reporting to the Building Infrastructure Officer, this role will see you responsible for assisting in the maintenance and capital project delivery for building infrastructure.

The key skill required being sought for this role include;

  • Maintenance scheduling
  • Scoping, costing and delivering capital works
  • Project management  
  • Condition assessment of buildings and built structures
  • Strong communication and negotiating skills

Desired Skills and Experience

About You: You are a skilled communicator with a proven track record in engaging and negotiating with contractors. The ideal candidate will be service-oriented with a keen eye for detail.  You will excel in problem-solving and prioritising multiple tasks.

The successful applicant will have some experience in preparing and costing works. Relevant qualifications or experience in project management, building management, construction or contract management is desirable.
