Job Description

Opportunity: The City of Albany is seeking a motivated and creative individual to join the team supporting the vibrant arts and culture programs at the Vancouver Arts Centre (VAC) and Town Hall.

Reporting to the Visual Arts Officer, this position plays a key role in providing administrative and technical support across the exhibition program, assisting with public programs and events, and supporting the management of the City’s Art Collection. You will also assist community gallery hirers, help document and promote exhibitions, and contribute to the smooth operation of both venues.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You: You are enthusiastic about the visual arts and keen to build your skills in gallery operations, exhibition support, and cultural administration. You have strong communication and customer service skills, enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.

You’ll bring solid administrative and digital skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Experience in an arts or cultural organisation is desirable, and you’ll be ready to assist with events, installation setups, and documentation of exhibitions.
