Job Description

Opportunity: The City’s Information Management Team is looking for experienced and information focused individual for the position of Information Management Officer.

Reporting to the Information Management Coordinator, this role will see you responsible for the systematic organisation, storage, retrieval, and utilisation of information within the City of Albany. This role will involve:

  • Promoting consistent and compliant information management practices across all departments.
  • Providing guidance, training, and support to staff in the use of records and information systems.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement through audits, analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Supporting informed decision-making and operational efficiency across the organisation.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You: Candidates will need to have:

  • Strong analytical skills with a view for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with training and coaching staff.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and professional development opportunities in records management qualifications.

Previous experience in information management is highly desirable.
