Status: Temporary, Full Time (1.0FTE) 12 months with the possibility of extension.
Salary range: $113,185.72 - $119,530.50 per annum dependent on skills, qualifications and experience.
Opportunity: Joining the City of Albany’s Major Projects team, this position is responsible for facilitating and managing projects for the City of Albany, from the feasibility phase through to the implementation of works. This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing projects related to land-based and coastal infrastructure, natural and developed reserves.
About You: The ideal candidate should have exceptional communication skills, with proven experience in engaging with diverse audiences, including community consultations and stakeholder interactions.
This role also requires:
- Proven advanced project management skills with extensive experience in overseeing and administering multiple, complex projects and contracts involving various stakeholders.
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Strong conceptual and analytical abilities, including the capability to assess detailed technical aspects of work and ensure required quality levels are met throughout project completion.
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing coastal adaptation, rehabilitation, and protection projects.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering projects with a strong focus on landscape and environmental contexts, including coastal adaptation, rehabilitation and protection initiatives, as well as trail network development and rehabilitation projects.
- Tertiary qualification in project management, a related field, or equivalent experience.
