Salary range: $62,964.91 to $64,401.20 per annum dependent on skills, knowledge and experience.

Job Description

Opportunity: The City of Albany’s Civil Works Team is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual, for an entry level Civil Worker position. This opportunity would see you gaining your Certificate III in Civil Construction and be paid at the same time. If you love being outside, working with your hands and giving back to your community, then this opportunity is for you!

 The Civil Works Team perform a wide range of tasks including road construction and maintenance, drainage, concrete works, signage, road sweeping, fencing and general maintenance. This role would see you report to the Leading Hand - Civil Works, and be responsible for the safe operation of plant, equipment and undertaking manual tasks.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You: Possession of excellent interpersonal skills, basic oral, written and numeracy skills along with physical fitness capable of undertaking manual labor are essential.

The successful candidate will also possess;

  • Minimum “C” Class Drivers Licence.
  • WA Whitecard.
  • The Ability to obtain a national Police Clearance.
  • Previous experience as a machine Operator (desirable).
  • Previous experience working in a civil construction team (desirable).
