Job Description

The City of Albany’s Community Relations Team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to take up the role of Marketing and Communications Officer.

Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, this role will see you responsible for but not limited to;

  • Assisting the Communications Coordinator with delivering communications team functions;
  • Supporting the development of marketing strategies for the City of Albany;
  • Implementing marketing projects and promotional activities for the City of Albany and its major tourism asset, the National Anzac Centre;
  • Supporting City of Albany facilities to implement and deliver marketing activities as required;
  • Promoting major and City-run community events; and
  • Supporting the promotion of a positive public image for the City of Albany.

Desired Skills and Experience

Possession of excellent communication skills, strong understanding of digital platforms and social media for marketing purposes, excellent time management and administration skills and previous experience working in tourism, events or marketing are essential for this role.

A tertiary qualification in marketing or communications (or similar) or a minimum of three years relevant work experience is required for this role.
